Bournemouth Karate Academy (BKA Dojo)

Welcome to the Bournemouth Karate Academy dojo that provides karate training to children and adults of all abilities and ages.

The BKA dojo is led by Sensei Molyneux (9th Dan), a respected international instructor who is frequently invited to lead training gasshukos all over the world. Apart from being the chief instructor of the English Goju Ryu Karate Association (EGKA), Sensei Ernie is also the vice chief instructor of the IOGKF. An international karate federation, which has over 75,000 members in 63 countries throughout the world.

Like most karate masters, his students find Sensei Ernie to be a modest and unassuming man that just enjoys teaching students. Sensei Ernie has gained international respect for his pursuit of promoting and protecting the legacy of the Okinawan traditional martial art of Goju Ryu karate.

New students should not feel daunted at the prospect of joining a dojo without any idea what may be involved. We all have to start somewhere and everyone discovers they have two left feet when they start training. Sensei Ernie welcomes novice adults and children (7+ years of age) to take their first step on their journey to black belt.

Many martial art students travel to the UK from all over the world to train with Sensei Ernie. With such a respected master teaching his martial art in Bournemouth, those of us who live in the area are fortunate to have the choice of training with him on our door step.

If trying out a free trial lesson appeals to you, please contact Sensei Ernie on mobile number 079 0995 6940. He will confirm a time when you can attend. Just turn up wearing a loose t-shirt, shorts, or tracksuit bottoms, and you can experience an enjoyable and safe training session that will help you decide if karate training is for you.

We look forward to welcoming you to our BKA dojo community.
